Communications Experience

Six years at a top ten bank has taught me a thing or two.

I think I might be spoiled. I’ve built my communications career experience while collaborating with best-in-class talent at an industry-leading fintech company. My colleagues are fun people and they inspire me to push past the limits of what is possible. In the back of our minds is the customer and a drive to find innovative solutions that strengthen the customers’ financial wellbeing.

The work culture at Capital One is on point too. We take diversity and inclusion seriously, and the benefits are superb. It’s no wonder Capital One wins so many awards (see below). 

As an executive communicator at such an amazing company, I can’t help but take pride in it. I’m proud of the positive associate experiences, customer outcomes, and executive thought leadership that I’ve helped to influence over the years. 

Design and Brand Experience

Storytelling is a style of communication rooted in emotion. Much like music, visual design can act as a bridge connecting concepts to feelings. The first half of my career was spent perfecting this craft. 

After graduating university with a degree in journalism and mass communication, my passion for creativity led to work designing graphics, print materials, and eventually holistic brand identities for small businesses. To this day, I think of every communication as a composition of emotive devices. My creative process seeks to integrate all aspects of the audience experience by curating the sounds, images, and words into a singular stream of thought. 

Creative skills are the foundation of my communications success.
